Online Therapy in Boston, Across Massachusetts, New York and Nevada

Cultivate confidence, find your voice, and feel good enough as you are.

Why does it feel like your only two options are “be perfect” or “be a failure”?

You’ve spent a lot of your life picking up the slack for everyone else. Growing up, you were the “good” kid because you never made a fuss and did what adults wanted you to do — sometimes without even needing to be asked.

Now, you find yourself trying to be “good” in the eyes of your boss, coworkers, partner, friends, and even your kids if you have them. This often involves saying “yes” to an endless list of chores and obligations, while letting your own mental and physical wellbeing fall by the wayside. You’ve noticed a resentment building, and don’t like how it makes you feel about the people who matter most to you.

All the plates you’ve miraculously been able to keep spinning over the years have started to wobble — and you’re worried they might all come crashing down if something doesn’t change soon.

Maybe you’ve been struggling with…

  • Imposter syndrome or feeling like you don’t deserve what you have

  • Feeling insecure or inadequate, and needing constant validation from others

  • Overwhelm, exhaustion, and burnout

  • Adjusting after a recent move, starting a new job, or new academic endeavor

  • One-sided relationships where you do all the heavy lifting

  • Fear that loved ones will leave if you say ‘no’ to something

Let me assure you that not only is it okay to admit you’re having a tough time — it’s the first step in actually feeling better.

Hi, I’m Dr. Christina saltman!

Whatever you’re facing right now — I’ve got you.

Here’s one thing I know to be true: you have value no matter what you do (or don’t do), how much you earn, or how you look. In the work we’ll do together, our goal is to get you to truly believe that for yourself. I know it may seem impossible right now, and that’s okay — we’ll get there together.

Perfect is boring. Let’s figure out how to be “good enough” instead.

Sessions with me are always free from judgment and shame. I’m certainly not perfect, and I would never expect you to be! I want to be present with you as you are, so no need to try and be “good” here.

A lot of my clients have been to therapy before and had less-than-great experiences. I’m not the type of therapist who’s going to just stare back at you blankly, or tell you how to fix your situation like it’s an easy thing to do. I also try to make this work something you won’t dread showing up for. Don’t be surprised if we find ourselves laughing in our sessions — humor and levity can be healing.

I want to help you recognize where you’re at now and realize that it’s okay to feel how you’re feeling. Then, together, we can figure out what direction you’d like to go and begin collaborating to take one small step at a time toward that goal. And I know we can get there in the end.

It’s time to put yourself first.
